What We Forgot

Before there were showers and registries, there were women gathering around women.

Somewhere along the way, we started celebrating the baby and forgetting the mother. Games, gifts, and onesies, while the woman at the center is quietly crossing the most profound threshold of her life with no one marking it.

You feel it. You want to hold her differently. But no one ever showed you how.

Honoring the Mother teaches you. Not how to decorate a room, but how to create the conditions where a mother is witnessed, nourished, and blessed in body, mind, and spirit.

Inside the Mini-Course

The bones of the ritual. The medicine is yours.

Rather than twenty activities, we give you intelligence in sequencing, so one moment prepares the body for the next.

Tending the Field

Tending the Field

Learn her desires, boundaries, and lineage. Assign roles, invite guests, and use our Mother Inquiry questionnaire.

The Arc of Ritual

The Arc

Arrive, ground, open, remember, witness, release, bless, nourish, commit, close, integrate. Plus 90-minute, 3-hour, and half-day templates.

Opening the Circle

Opening the Circle

Mark the threshold. Establish consent and confidentiality, light the candle, and name why you have gathered.

Remember the Matriarch

Remember the Matriarch

Place her inside something larger. Invoke lineage with spaciousness for love, grief, and complexity.

A Return to the Village

"Birth was never meant to be carried alone."

When you finish this course, you will know how to hold a mother in every layer of her being.

Body

Oil on skin, hands tending hair, broth on the fire. Nourishment and touch that soften her nervous system.

Mind

No unsolicited birth stories or advice. A container that protects her knowing and strengthens her trust.

Spirit

Lineage remembered, blessings spoken, prayers braided. She leaves knowing she is not crossing alone.

Questions

Before you begin

Do I need experience leading ceremony?
Not at all. This course gives you the structure and sequencing. You bring your own songs, plants, prayers, food, and traditions.
Who is this for?
Sisters, friends, doulas, birthkeepers, and any woman who wants to hold a pregnant mother in her community the way our grandmothers were held.
How is this different from a baby shower?
A shower celebrates the baby. A mother blessing honors the woman becoming a mother. It is participatory, not performative.
How long do I have access?
Forever. Return to it for every mother you are called to bless.
Who created this course?
Britt Clements and Allison Pancost of The Kinward Movement, devoted to fertility, birth, embodiment, and rebuilding the village around mothers.
